You invested in a Nikon Z camera because you wanted to create photographs you're proud of.
Instead...
You're never quite sure which autofocus mode to use.
Your images aren't as consistently sharp as you'd like.
You spend more time digging through menus than taking pictures.
You know the camera can do more—but you're not sure how to unlock it.
The truth?
Most Nikon Z owners don't have a camera problem. They have a confidence problem.
The camera is incredibly capable.
You simply need someone to show you how it all works together.
This isn't another collection of prerecorded videos.
For eight weeks, we'll meet live every Thursday evening as I guide you through your Nikon Z camera step by step.

Learn how to continue improving long after Boot Camp ends. We'll discuss building a portfolio, entering competitions, photographing with purpose, finding clients, developing your own style, and creating images you're genuinely proud to share.
Topics include:
Building a portfolio that reflects your style
Entering photography contests and exhibitions
Getting your first clients and establishing pricing
Websites, social media, and marketing your work
Receiving and giving constructive critique
Developing confidence in your photography
Moving from taking pictures to creating photographs that tell a story
Each week builds on the last.
By the end of Boot Camp, you'll understand not just what settings to use—but why you're using them. That's the difference between memorizing camera settings and becoming a confident photographer.
Most photography courses...
Overwhelm you with information
Expect you to learn on your own
Cover every camera brand
Leave you wondering how everything fits together
This Boot Camp is different.
Every session is taught live, so you can learn alongside other Nikon photographers and ask questions as they come up.
Enrollment is limited to just 12 students.
That means personalized attention, real interaction, and time to answer your questions—not hundreds of anonymous students watching recordings.
If something doesn't make sense...
Ask.
If your camera isn't set up correctly...
We'll fix it.
If you're struggling with a feature...
We'll work through it together.
Everything is built specifically for Nikon Z cameras.
No Canon.
No Sony.
No generic photography advice.
Every lesson is designed around the camera sitting in your hands.
✔ Eight live weekly classes (approximately 90 minutes each)
✔ Personalized Q&A during every session
✔ Complete recordings of every class if you miss one—or want to watch again
✔ Private student community
✔ Downloadable Nikon reference guides and PDFs
✔ Direct access to an experienced Nikon instructor
This program is perfect if you...

Want consistently sharper, better-exposed photographs

Want to finally understand your camera instead of memorizing random settings
You're looking for a generic photography class
You're unwilling to spend a little time practicing between sessions
You already know every Nikon Z menu inside and out
Hi, I'm Joseph Nuzzo.
Hi, I'm Joseph Nuzzo, founder of Shutter Speak.
I've spent my career behind the camera—from covering professional sports, breaking news, and major events as a New York press photographer to photographing real estate, commercial projects, portraits, and landscapes.
Along the way, I discovered something surprising: most photographers don't struggle because their cameras are too complicated—they struggle because no one has ever shown them how everything works together.
That's why I created Nikon Z Boot Camp.
Today, I help thousands of Nikon photographers through YouTube, live workshops, speaking engagements, masterclasses, and one-on-one coaching. My teaching style is practical, straightforward, and focused on real-world photography—not memorizing menu items.
In Boot Camp, you won't just learn where a setting is. You'll understand when to use it, why it matters, and how it helps you create better photographs.
My goal is simple: by the end of these eight weeks, you'll stop fighting your camera and start shooting with confidence.
Keeping the class small allows me to answer questions, review setups, and provide the individual attention that simply isn't possible in large online courses.
Once all 12 seats are filled, registration closes.
Classes begin Thursday, September 10, 2026
🕖 Live every Thursday at 7:00 PM Eastern
🎥 Every session is recorded, so if you can't attend live, you'll never fall behind.
I love my students. Here is what they have to say about me...
"Nikon Z Boot Camp is a deep dive into the labyrinth of menu items emphasizing how they're used and connected to your style of shooting. If you know a little going in, you'll know much more coming out. You learn how to have your camera work with you instead of against you. Nikon Z Boot Camp is a frustration eliminator."
"Joe from Shutter Speak is an outstanding teacher for Nikon photographers. He has a wonderful ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, straight forward manner providing examples from his very accomplished career. He will challenge novices and experts alike to push theirs skills and inspire you to be the best photographer you can be."
"I've taken photography classes before, but Joe's instruction stands out because it's focused on real-world results. He doesn't just explain what a setting does—he shows when and why to use it. My photography improved almost immediately."
